What the watch does
The Wear OS app is both a remote control and a display. From your wrist you start and stop recording and searching, mark an article as you drop it, confirm a found article, and continue. It shows the elapsed time, GPS readiness, step count, distance, the type of and distance to the next feature, proximity, the number of finds, and the bearing back to the start.
On the phone a banner offers to install it: "Add KynoPlan to your watch — start, mark items and stop from your wrist."
What it does not do
The watch is not standalone. The phone owns GPS and the data; the watch stores nothing and does not work without a paired phone — with no session running it simply says "Start a recording or search on your phone."
Just as honestly: if the connection drops, the watch does not warn you. It carries on showing the last session it knew about, clock still ticking. If in doubt, check the phone for what is actually being recorded; on reconnect the phone pushes the current state back out by itself.
